Integrity, Transparency & Experience
The Water District needs to change. The current Board has become complacent and is not providing strong leadership. The District has increased our fees claiming that they have insufficient revenue, while they build a new $32 million headquarters (which is going to be located in the middle of a residential neighborhood). We pay surcharges for using too much water under a rate formulation which is incomprehensible, and changes constantly because of “daily evapotranspiration”. There is a claim of transparency but this is obscured by convoluted detail and technical terms. This is obfuscation not transparency.
I am the person who can bring in new ideas, insights and integrity. I have led water districts for over a decade. I have worked within the government while not being driven by politics. I work for the people that I serve. I set direction for the good of the community with a long range vision and a practical conservative business approach. We need to be frugal with our community’s money, while providing exceptional service to our community.
I seek your vote, and in return I promise to bring openness, integrity and accessibility.
